BioVida Panamá: La Rana Dorada

I produced this short motivational documentary for Dr. Angie Estrada, Director of the Parque Mucipal Summit Zoo in Panamá to help promote community-centric conservation efforts for the endangered national frog of Panamá. We screened this film at the Rainforest Parternship’s 2018 SXSW Films for the Forest Screening. I directed, filmed portions, developed the narratives and interviews, and soundtracked this video.

Frogs in Panama face a myriad of challenges that have led to the near-extinction of the country's national animal: the Panamanian Golden Frog. In this preview of BioVida Panamá, the diverse community working on this issue explains how protecting these animals isn't just up to the experts. Credit: photography, story, production.
